A "Commentary for Children" ? One
rarely sees the words "commentary" and "children" in the same
sentence, let alone the same description. How is the newly edited
and released book on Genesis a commentary; how is it for children?
Commentaries pay careful attention to
words. The origin of words—Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic; the context of
words—historical setting, redaction criticism, textual criticism and
the setting or genre that passages were written in, and, of course, the power and subtle meaning of words. Nancy
